{"id":5795,"date":"2021-02-05T14:41:34","date_gmt":"2021-02-05T22:41:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prn.bc.ca\/?p=5795"},"modified":"2021-02-05T14:41:34","modified_gmt":"2021-02-05T22:41:34","slug":"press-release-school-district-60-hires-new-secretary-treasurer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prn.bc.ca\/press-release-school-district-60-hires-new-secretary-treasurer\/","title":{"rendered":"Press Release &#8211; School District 60 Hires New Secretary-Treasurer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For Immediate Release<\/p>\n<p><b>School District 60 Hires New Secretary-Treasurer<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prn.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/02\/Angela-Telford-Pic.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5796 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.prn.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/02\/Angela-Telford-Pic-229x300.png\" alt=\"Angela Telford\" width=\"229\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.prn.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/02\/Angela-Telford-Pic-229x300.png 229w, https:\/\/www.prn.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/02\/Angela-Telford-Pic.png 622w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 229px) 100vw, 229px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a province-wide search, SD60 is pleased to announce that <\/span><b>Angela Telford<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been hired as the new Secretary-Treasurer, effective February 1st, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The District carried out a robust hiring and interview process with several applicants and Angela emerged as the top candidate.\u00a0 She has been with SD60 for the past year and a half in the capacity of Director of Finance.\u00a0 With a Bachelor of Commerce and her experience in managing financial processes internally and with the Ministry of Education, she is well-suited to step into this new role.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Secretary-Treasurer has a senior leadership role in the District.\u00a0 Not only will she provide financial stewardship of significant public funds, she will oversee the operations side of the District and support the Board of Trustees in its governance role, as the corporate secretary.\u00a0 Angela has already established positive and effective relationships with our leadership team.\u00a0 She is also connected to our local community and has provided voluntary leadership support for events like the BC Winter Games.\u00a0 I am looking forward to working with her as part of senior management.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Stephen Petrucci &#8211; Superintendent of Schools<\/b><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe board looks forward to working alongside Angela.
