The School District’s outdoor environmental studies centre is located in a natural forested setting on
the shore of Cameron Lake. On Saturday, February 1, 2014, representatives from TransCanada Corporation
donated $10,000 to the School District for the purchase of cross country skis, poles and shoes,
snowshoes and utensils for the camp kitchen, plus canoes to be acquired in the spring. The Cameron
Lake facilities are available for use by all district pupils and staff where such uses are compatible with
the outdoor education curriculum objectives.
