Each academic year, the British Columbia Innovation Council joins with the BC Science Teachers’ Asociaton to grant Science Achievement Awards to outstanding science students from high schools across British Columbia. These awards recognize students who have demonstarted outstanding academic performance at the grade 11 and 12 levels.
Each award winner demonstrates a strong aptitude for science based on academic performance, work ethic and extra-curricular activities. Winners are traditionally the top senior science students at their respective schools, excelling in subjects such as physics, biology and chemistry. In addition, most winners are also involved in science fairs, clubs and tutoring. This year 234 awards were distributed amongst 224 BC high schools.
We are quite proud and would like to congratulate Falon Burkitt from Hudson’s Hope School for receiving this award!
Great work Falon!
