Catchment Area Scenario Maps

Changes to catchment areas are required to populate Margaret ‘Ma’ Murray Community School (grades K-6), opening September 2018, as well as to provide space at neighbouring schools.

Three catchment area proposed scenarios have been shared during public meetings on October 30, 2017 and November 9th, 2017 (http://www.prn.bc.ca/?p=3312). A third public meeting will take place at the School Board Office on

Tuesday, November 28th at 7pm at 10112 105 Ave

Included below are the three proposed scenarios as PDF files with an urban view and a larger view of the area around Fort St John that will be impacted by catchment changes.

Common Features of Each Scenario

In each of the three presented scenarios the following are common features

  • Grandhaven will move into the Ma Murray catchment
  • Clairmont will move into the Ma Murray catchment
  • Old Fort will move into the Ma Murray catchment
  • Areas north of Fish Creek that currently are in the Bert Ambrose catchment will move into the Ma Murray catchment

The CM Finch catchment in Scenario B has a North-South orientation bordered mostly by 108 St, 100 St, 100 Ave, and the walking trail near the railway tracks.
