One of our students has had their science project accepted into the Google Science Fair!
Kevala Van Volkenburg entered a project looking at whether 10 minutes of mild aerobic exercise affect academic performance. She concluded that exercise does improve simple math and reading tests for grade 5 and 6 students by 19%!
The Google science fair was open to the world for entries and over 7500 projects were submitted. Of those 7500 project entries there were 60 projects picked, five from Canada, and only one from British Columbia.
Please have a look at Kevala’s project including her video and Project Website at http://www.google.com/events/sciencefair/projects/train_your_brain_with_exercise.html#
