Grade 10 student Kimmie Gulevich is off to Taiwan in February to represent Canada at an international science fair. Kimmie is a student at Dr. Kearney Junior Secondary School and a participant in the district’s Secondary Gifted Program. Her work on biodiesel as an ecologically sound fuel alternative has been recognized at the local, provincial and national levels and has now gained Kimmie international recognition. She will be accompanied to the competition by Mr. Kevin Frankham, a long serving SD 60 teacher, currently working at Bert Ambrose Elementary School, who has been instrumental in organizing local and regional science fairs for many years.
