Students at Alwin Holland Elementary will see something new in the library, QR Codes with author and title information. QR stands for Quick Response and a mobile device with a reader app (like i-nigma – http://goo.gl/ul2lnL or http://goo.gl/HlJb6) can read the two-dimensional bar code to get text or a web link to more information on a book. Teacher-Librarian Karlene Duncan has added several into the library with information about authors and their books, and to showcase some of their non-fiction titles. QR Codes in the classroom can make for a fun search project and much more.
