NOTICE OF NOMINATION
Public Notice is given to the electors of the School District No. 60 (Peace River North) that nomination for the office of:
One Trustee for Trustee Electoral Zone III (Hudson’s Hope)
will be received by the Chief Election Officer or a designated person, as follows:
Completed nomination documents will be received by the Chief Election Officer (or persons designated by her), at the School District Administration Office beginning at 9:00 am, Tuesday December 17th, 2013 and ending at 4:00 p.m., Friday December 27th, 2013.
Excluding Statutory Holidays and weekends.
NOMINATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF RECEIVED AFTER 4:00 P.M., FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2013.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE
A person is qualified to be nominated, elected, and to hold office as a Board of Education Trustee of School District No. 60 (Peace River North) if they meet the following criteria:
- Canadian citizen;
- an individual who is, or will be on general voting day or effective date of appointment, age 18 or older;
- a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the date of the election or appointment; and
- not disqualified by the School Act or any other enactment from voting in an election in British Columbia or from being nominated for, being elected to, or holding office as trustee.
Starting December 2, 2013, interested persons can obtain information on the requirements and procedures for making a nomination and can obtain nomination forms from the School District Administration Office, 10112-105th Avenue, Fort St. John, British Columbia. (250) 262-6008.
Nomination documents are available at the School District Administration office during regular office hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
