Two families have taken part in the Roots of Empathy pilot program this year at Duncan Cran in Kindergarten along with a Roots of Empathy mentor teacher, Jaimelia Turner. The program introduces a young infant along with their parents into the classrooms and students learn about the infant’s early development and emotions. One of the goals of the program is to help young children develop empathy for others.
